The Society of Land Condition Professionals Ltd (SiLC) Annual Forum returns on Thursday 26 March 2026, bringing together land condition professionals from across the UK for a dynamic half-day virtual event. Taking place from 9.30am to 1.30pm and chaired by Louise Beale, Chair of the SiLC Professional and Technical Panel (SLR Consulting), this year’s Forum promises an engaging and thought-provoking programme centred on the interconnected themes of Air, Land and Water.

The Annual Forum has long been recognised as an important fixture in the land condition calendar, offering delegates the opportunity to hear from leading experts, explore real-world case studies, and discuss the evolving regulatory and technical landscape. The 2026 programme is structured to provide both practical insight and a forward-looking perspective. Each theme will begin with a case study, followed by discussion of recent technical guidance or regulatory developments, and conclude with a look at innovation and future challenges facing the profession.

This year’s Forum features an excellent line-up of speakers addressing some of the most pressing issues in land condition practice. Emma Evans (Arcadis) will present a remediation case study, while Judith Nathanail (Land Quality Management Ltd) will showcase digital solutions for groundwater and PFAS data management. Paul Nathanail (Land Quality Management Ltd) will share lessons learned from a recent Part IIA case and also lead a candid discussion on remediation with Joe Jackson (Jackson Remediation) and Neil Hopkins (Biogenie), reflecting on successes, challenges, and lessons from the field. Marie Armstrong and George Hannan (Element) will explore PFAS stack emissions, highlighting emerging concerns and technical approaches.

In addition, delegates will benefit from an informative panel discussion featuring regulators from England, Wales and Scotland. This session will examine the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and the value it brings to effective land management and environmental protection.

The SiLC Annual Forum offers valuable continuing professional development and a unique opportunity to stay informed about emerging trends, regulatory developments, and technical innovation. It also provides a platform for professionals from across disciplines to connect, share knowledge, and strengthen the collective expertise of the land condition community.

With accessible virtual attendance and a range of ticket options, including free places for students, graduates, jobseekers, and public sector representatives, the Forum is open to all those with an interest in land condition practice.

Further details on the full programme will be announced soon. In the meantime, delegates are encouraged to secure their place and join what promises to be an insightful and engaging event.
