HJS delivers proven emissions control solutions that enable compliance with the MCPD directive for large stationary gensets and Stage V or Tier4f emission levels for mobile gensets.
HJS emission control systems are engineered for durability and low maintenance, based on robust and cost-effective components primarily originating from the automotive area.
The systems can be integrated in new genset installations or used for emissions upgrade of existing MCPD plants that must comply with the December 2029 deadline for existing plants between 1 MW and 50 MW or for mobile gensets that must comply with Stage V or Tier 4f Emission standards depending on their application area.
Existing gensets can be upgraded to the NOx level of 190mg of NOx /Nm3 (at 15% O2) for MCPD by adding a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) catalyst system, and if combined with our high-efficiency Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), Stage V or Tier 4f can be reached, thereby extending operational life.
Designed to significantly reduce Nitrogen Oxides (NOₓ) and Particulate Matter (PM), HJS upgrades are suitable for both stationary and mobile generators. Precisely controlled AdBlue injection converts harmful exhaust gases into nitrogen and water, delivering reliable emissions performance without compromising engine operation.
A recent upgrade at HJS's Swindon facility demonstrates how non-compliant gensets can be successfully future-proofed. A Stage IIIA 200kVA genset with an FPT engine and over 7,000 operating hours was upgraded to full Stage V emissions compliance, providing a cost-effective alternative to full replacement while meeting current regulations.
All HJS Stage V retrofit systems are approved for NRMM Low Emission Zones and accredited by the Energy Saving Trust, giving operators confidence in long-term compliance.
Backed by proven DPF and SCR technologies, HJS supports cleaner air, improved public health, and future-ready emissions compliance. As members of AMPS and the UKGSA, HJS remains at the forefront of emissions control for diesel power generation.
