I have worked for the Environment Agency for 18 years in a variety of roles ranging from measuring fish in mountain streams, to regulating waste sites in Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham, embedding changes to the WEEE system and finally to my current role as the EA lead for Waste Shipments. I have a passion for improving the way we protect the environment and working with stakeholders in industry to ensure we do this in the best way for everyone. My current challenges include ensuring we're correctly resourced to do all the work we needed to regulate the waste exports sector effectively and establishing a new system for managing exports of Green List waste.
