Professor Michael Shaver is Professor of Polymer Science in the School of Natural Sciences at the University of Manchester where he leads initiatives in sustainable polymers and plastics for the Sustainable Materials Innovation Hub. He is Director of the Sustainable Futures research platform at the University of Manchester which champions strategic, interdisciplinary, sustainable solutions to environmental challenges. He has published >110 papers, delivered >80 invited lectures and is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Chemistry and Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining.
