Lee Thickett is Head of UK Operations at Traqa, which is a data platform that is majority owned by The Recycling Association. Lee's role at Traqa is to help businesses within all areas of our industry to simplify their material export processes by utilising technology to facilitate data sharing and prove compliance within the export supply chain.

Lee has worked in the waste management industry for 16 years and has amassed vast experience from being involved in various roles; From hand sorting waste to skip brokerage, kerbside and commercial collections, as well as managing transfer stations, MRF's and fibre sorts. Amalgamated into those roles were responsibilities for material quality and material sales.

This varied experience has helped Lee grow as part of the waste industry and now as part of The Recycling Association family where he is serving the wider industry.
