Ghinwa has more than 18 years experience in the sustainability field. She joined BSI in her current role nearly 2 year ago, building BSI's sustainability strategy and team from the ground. Previously Ghinwa had worked for 10 years in the energy industry, mostly on large infrastructure projects such as nuclear new build and decommissioning, integrating sustainability into key activities and processes. Before that, Ghinwa worked at an engineering firm, getting embedded on projects such as the Olympic Park, the Elizabeth Line, the M25 widening project, as a sustainability specialist. Ghinwa has a Masters Degree from the University of Oxford, has international working experience and is additionally fluent in Arabic and French.
