Gareth is a member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management with over 20 years of experience working in a local authority.

Gareth is a national representative for LARAC, the Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee, including being a member of the association's Health and Safety & Policy Team.

As the Head of Waste at West Sussex County Council, Gareth is accountable for overseeing waste disposal contracts, infrastructure, and strategic collaboration with the West Sussex Waste Partnership.
