Chris has 19 years experience and a background in Hydrogeology and Geo-Science but now with a much wider environmental Permitting and Compliance focus. He is a Chartered Environmentalist, Chartered Resource and Waste Manager, Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying and Geological Society, Full Member of the British Soil Science Society and CL:AIRE DoW CoP Qualified Person. He leads expert and adaptable UK team specialising in Environmental Permitting and Compliance across all sectors and jurisdictions. He is an active proponent of best practice knowledge sharing and always keen to see the big picture, legal and commercial context. He also is also a member of the Society for the Environment’s Regulatory Task Group which has developed a set of guiding principles relating to soil and aggregate reuse which aims to influence Government thinking as part of the Society’s ongoing Soil and Stones project. He is a Qualified Person (QP448) under the CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Code of Practice (DoW CoP) and an active participant on other industry forums and working including the Mineral Products Association (MPA) waste group and other inert waste working groups. He has authored several prominent articles in the regulatory/legal sections of industry journals and is also an active public speaker at various industry and professional events.
