LARAC

LARAC, The Local Authority Recycling Advisory Committee, was formed in 1985 to represent the emerging voice of local government recycling officers. We have the largest membership of waste and recycling officers across the UK, representing over 300 local authorities including Collection, Disposal and Unitary Authorities. With over 1100 individual local authority officer contacts, full Membership is open to any local authority within the UK and we have members from authorities in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales including associates from the Channel Islands. We represent local authority views in waste and recycling issues, and we are run by an Executive of 20 serving local authority waste management officers. Associate membership is open to any Local Authority with a waste function.
