Abbey Dorian is the Energy Sector Lead at BSI overseeing strategic standardization programmes in the areas of electric vehicles, wind energy, hydrogen, nuclear energy and smart grids. She holds a Masters in International Relations and has worked on a range of standardization projects and capacity building programmes over the past 5 years.

Before her time at BSI, Abbey oversaw standardization projects in the Energy, Electrotechnology, Mining and Oil and Gas sectors in Australia. During her time in Australia, she had a special focus on leading and delivering standardization programmes targeted at climate mitigation and adaptation which included establishing the first regional standardization committee in the Pacific Islands. In partnership with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Abbey has also delivered capacity building activities to ISO members in Africa, South America and Europe.
