Geraint Williams, Technical Director and Global PFAS Practice Lead, has over 25 years’ experience within the contaminated land industry and regularly advises ALS’s clients on a wide range of UK and international projects. During this time, he has served on many industry bodies including the Society of Brownfield Risk Assessment (SoBRA), as a member of the Executive Committee, as Chair of the Technical Panel and a member of the Vapour Intrusion group. He currently serves on the Contaminated Land Working Group of the Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS), the National Brownfield Forum (NBF), as well as EH/4, British Standards Technical Committee on Soil Quality. He participates in International Standard Organisation (ISO) committees on investigation, assessment and remediation of land contamination.

Last year, ALS, along with Land Quality Management (LQM), were appointed by the Construction Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA) to write good practice guidance on PFAS in soil and water environments. Geraint is one of the main authors of this guidance.
